Today I am very thankful for so many peoole in my life. My parents, Sharon, Julia Kessel, Brett Kessel, Kayla J Bradham and so many great friends who have been supportive and encouraging in good times and bad.
Last week I had the good fortune to attend an event called MegaSuccess. Operated by the JT Foxx Organization, MegaSuccess is often billed as the Super Bowl of Business Conferences.
It has been an interesting week. Last weekend I was out in Buffalo for Project Play Western New York. This week I have been out in California for meetings with more sports youth organizations, promoting Sports Philanthropy WORLD 2020
Colin Kaepernick claims that he wants to be back in the
NFL. The NFL claims it wants to give him
the opportunity to make that happen. Neither statement appears to be true.
Fans have been clamoring for a college football playoff for years. The BCS did a poor job of giving teams a chance at a true national championship. The 4-team playoff has not done much better.
A terrible week for the NFL comes to an end with one of the ugliest incidents anyone has ever seen in the league. They can only hope that Sunday’s games do something to take the spotlight off of the the Browns-Steelers debacle.
Most fans think they are smarter than the football coaches of the team that they cheer for. They curse, stomp their feet, throw things at the wall (or the TV) and tweet up a storm. Coaches are in a no win situation.
The critique of college football coaches (really, all football coaches) has become worse in recent years. Alabama fans have apparently become even more unreasonable given Nick Saban’s historic success.
